On Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, our members ( 13yrs old+ ) attended a Self Defense Seminar presented by Master Kurt Ottesen VIII Degree Black Belt. The course started at 9:30 am and covered a number of topics from close combat situations to knife and stick defense. The course was followed by an examination where Mr. Darius Andaya was promoted to 6th Degree Black Belt. For those who don't know, Master Ottesen has been a great friend to the Pacific Rim Team and has been instrumental in developing our athletes. He is also a self-defense and close combat specialist and a member of the ITF Umpire Committee. We'd like to thank DSA Taekwon-Do for an amazing day and Master Ottesen for spreading his knowledge.
