PRTKD AT THE 2026 ITF WORLD CUP!

What an incredible experience for Pacific Rim Institute of Taekwon-Do at the 2026 ITF World Cup in Benidorm, Spain!

PRTKD was proudly represented by three competitors and one international umpire, taking part in one of the largest Taekwon-Do events in the world.

Ms. Karli Southgate had an outstanding performance in Female Veteran Sparring, battling her way to a BRONZE MEDAL! An incredible achievement on the international stage!

Stephanie Law represented PRTKD in Patterns, facing a competitor from England  in the opening round. Although her World Cup journey ended in that first match, stepping onto the floor and competing on the world stage is an accomplishment to be proud of.

Victor Felea represented PRTKD in Sparring, going up against a competitor from Poland  in an incredibly close match. Victor fought hard from start to finish, and although the decision didn’t go his way, he showed tremendous determination and represented PRTKD and Canada with pride.

Master Chris Law represented Canada as an international umpire and was selected to serve as Jury President of Ring 7, leading his ring council and helping officiate competition on the world stage.

For PRTKD, this World Cup was about much more than results. It was an opportunity to compete, officiate, learn and represent our club, community and country on the international stage.

From Port Coquitlam  to Benidorm , it was an unforgettable World Cup experience!

Congratulations to Karli, Stephanie, Victor and Master Law on representing PRTKD and Canada with pride!
