Ready Position:  Parallel Ready Stance (Narani Junbi Sogi)

Definition:


(24 moves) Is the pseudonym of the patriot Ahn Chang-Ho (1876-1938).The 24 movements represent his entire life which he devoted to furthering the education of Korea and its independence movement.

STEP SPARRING WITH A PARTNER

 

Purpose of 2 Step Sparring:
Two step sparring enables the student to incorporate both hand and foot techniques into their pre-arranged sparring sequences, both in attacking and defensive modes

 

Setting up for 2 Step Sparring

 

  1. Bow to each other

  2. Attacker Steps back into a right L stance guarding block * No Measure is Needed

  3. Defender starts in a Parallel Ready Stance

  4. When the attacker is ready they will “Kihap”

  5. Defender remains in a parallel ready stance and will “Kihap” when they are ready

  6. Perform step sparring with the Defender finishing in L Stance Forearm Guarding Block after the counter

 

2 STEP SPARRING ( Ilbo Matsogi )

1.   Attacker:      Attack:  Low front snap kick with the right leg, step into a left walking stance twin knifehand inward strike

Defender:   Step back into a left walking stance  low knifehand block , step back into a right  walking stance forearm wedging block

Counter:      Upward knee kick with the left leg landing in a Left L stance forearm guarding block

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Attacker:        High-turning kick with the right leg land and step forward into a left  walking stance middle punch               

 

Defender:   Left walking stance outer forearm high side block ,step back into left L stance outer forearm inward  middle reverse block

 

Counter:      Turning knee kick, landing in a left L stance forearm guarding block
